Dusty Track V: really dusty!

Last Saturday we attended the fifth edition of the super fun Dusty Track at the Maia horse race course. And we really bit the dust!

—————————————————————————————————————–

Last weekend we followed the young tradition – please read about our previous experience in February at the Dusty Track IV – and went to Maia in the north of Portugal to join one more edition of the addictive mixture of racing, party, friendship and fresh cheap beer that is the Dusty Track.

This time, the races took place at the fast and amazing hippodrome of Maia. The one km. long oval with two different corners. It was the perfect track…until the ground surface turned into sand. The corners became scale desert sections, and one had to fight with the handlebars to avoid eating a spoonful of dust.

Our Suzuki GN400 arrived on time to the track thanks to the awesome help of our friends of 5special, who reserved enough space for our bike in their new van. Thank you, Sito and Lucía!

Besides 5special and La Urbana Bike, the Galician expedition was composed also by Gonzalo from Machete Company on his Yamaha SR250 Hot Burrita – who won one race and gave fight and show on the other -, Nacho from Honor MC – sweating with his Yamaha XJ650 on a sea of sand – and Adrián on his Honda XL200R tracker – the most aggressive and technical until the engine of his Honde choked in dust.

Resuming, it was a great day of racing and good vibes. Next one: Del Rosario Dirt Track!
